Un informe extenso, 117 diapositivas, y muy interesante porque, según la información que aporta, las empresas pueden configurar las acciones de marketing conociendo mejor el terreno que pisan.

And the problem is that most entrepreneurs do not have a clear perspective of how extensive and deep digital marketing management is.

Extensive because it covers everything from the company’s strategic planning, design, message writing, platform selection, publication management and daily attention to communications.

Deep, because managing the myriad of variables on the different platforms with precision and making them operate optimally requires a lot of study and experience.

This means a wide range of analytical, creative, technical and communication skills.

As we can now see, the variables are countless, and making informed decisions can reduce the dispersion of tasks and resources, as well as increase the likelihood of better results.

Let’s go to the data

In Mexico:

130.9 million people, 51.1% women and 48.9% men. 81.3% urban population. The above data gives us a picture of the size of the population, and the following table (Device Ownership) indicates which devices people own to access the network:

  • 98.7% Any type of mobile telephone.
  • 98.5% Smartphones
  • 69.6% Computers

This way we know which are the most common means by which people are connected to the Internet, and therefore the tools we use, such as websites, designs and messages, must be adapted to them.

Most visited websites

Google, Facebook and YouTube are the three most visited websites, where www.google.com.mx is also the eighth.

Google has 1.22 billion total visits, against 305 million for Facebook and 259 million for YouTube. This data gives us an idea of where the most traffic, and therefore people’s attention, is.

Search engine usage

Undoubtedly, Google is the main search tool in our country.

Security and privacy

  • 58.5% of people who doubt what is real or fictitious on the Internet.
  • 40.8% are concerned about how companies use their online information.
  • 33.4% decline to have cookies installed for at least some time.

Social media usage

102 million users of social networks is a large number, 78.3% of Mexicans, approximately, who spend 3:20 Hrs a day surfing them with a slightly higher use, 5% of women.

Demographic profile

In this graph we can determine that the bulk of the audience is concentrated between the ages of 18 and 44.

Closing

  • Data helps entrepreneurs and digital strategists make decisions:
  • Which tools to use (websites, social networks, messaging)
  • On which platforms there are a greater number of people.
  • How Internet users use the network.
  • What data helps us shape advertising campaigns or organic exposure.

There is no single formula, each case must be analyzed in particular to generate digital marketing experiments with a lower chance of failure.

It is where the creativity of design and communication intertwine with the technology of information provided by the network, now increasingly detailed.
